Community wins bid to create allotments

Two allotment areas are to be created in Telford following a ‘people power’ campaign by residents for somewhere to grow their own produce.
Scrubland off concorde in Dawley Bank and an area of land nest to Doseley Road Dawley are set to be transformed into community allotments after Dawley Bank Horticultural Society liaised with Telford and Wrekin People’s Association borough councillors and officers.

Allotments coming to Dawley

Dawley Bank Horticultural Society have liased with Telford & Wrekin Peoples Association Borough Councillors Dawley Magna ward and Borough of Telford & Wrekin Council Officers in their campaign for Allotment land in the Dawley area.
Two parcels of land have today been designated Allotment sites; scrub land located off Concorde Dawley Bank and an area of land adjacent to Doseley Road Dawley are set to become community focused projects.
