We were looking forward with great anticipation to our Garden Trail this year especially as 2008 was dampened somewhat by inclement weather.
In an attempt to beat the grey clouds, it was decided to bring the date forward a month to blazing June 09.
The weather God had other ideas for this weekend!
We awoke to rain lashing against the windows and rolling grey clouds.
It continued without sign of respite forcing DBHS members to make a decision about viability of going ahead with plans.
At 10.30am announcements were made on local radio that Garden Trail 2009 was postponed.
Thank you to the ten wonderful gardens and gardeners who kindly participated.
Showing typical resilience and undaunted by the unprecedented rainfall all expressed a desire to try again later in the summer.
